in Galore |
|
EUPHORIA – 2011, The Annual Concert cum Prize giving ceremony
of Primary Section was held on 23rd December
2011.Mr. M.N. Sharif , Director (Technology) Mecon ltd. Ranchi,
graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was marked
by a variety of cultural programmes. Children enthralled the
audience with their mind blowing performance in different
dances like fairies and angels descended on earth. The English
& Hindi skit lived up to the expectation of all by conveying
useful message to the society. The evening was made more
colorful by the staging of dance forms of different countries
like Japan & Spain. We were even taken to the land of South
Africa through ‘Waka – Waka’ The grooming of the children for
stage performance was excellent. The entire programme was an
evidence of the reality that in Bridgeford we nurture each
child’s hidden talent & give them platform for exposure.Children
were also awarded for their academic achievements and general
proficiency for the session 2010 – 11. |

(b)Cultural Programme in Senior Wing
(INDRADHANUSH) |
|
The
rhapsodic air of Bridgeford enthralled one and all on the
grand occasion of Annual Day, with the bright band of
sparkling ‘Indradhanush’. The Chief Guest, Hon’able Governor,
Syed Ahmed, was the historical witness of this saga which had
glimpses of art and culture of rich Indian heritage. The young
and graceful dancers of our school drove the spectators into
the world of fantasy.A wide spectrum of colours –
‘Indradhanush’ was jeweled with sensational pleasure. The
young pupils, with their power packed vigour, dangled into the
programme. The dances being performed were closely knitted
with the essence of cults of various states of India. The
whole programme captivated the spectators within its
mesmerizing sphere and compelled them to tap their feet with
the rhythm. The evening was also enlightened with the morale –
boosting plays and skits that were interwoven with the
elements of comedy & tragedy. Dr. Syed Ahmed, was highly
impressed and appreciated the performers as well as the effort
of their mentors. He advocated the all – sound development of
the students which can be truly brought about through these
galas.The
Guest of Honour, Mr. G.K. Pillai, Chairman H.E.C ltd. in his
brief speech recapitulated his school days which was enwrapped
in fun. He paid a special gratitude to his mother &
particularly his teachers. |

(a) Visit to Machali Ghar |
|
Tender Hearts are
the fervent admirers of natural splendors as there is a lot of
be learnt from it. With this perspective, the students of
standard II were endeavoured to Machali Ghar on 27th July
2011. They were acquainted with the breeding of fishes. The
observant minds went fanatic for the onomatopoeic music of the
faunas – fishes, rabbits etc. and adored the flora as well.
Altogether the day was interwoven with fun & felicity.
Overall
development is the chief aim of our institution. In this
association, the students of standard VII went for
excursion to Tassar Institute, Ranchi on 5th August, 2011
where they learnt the techniques of extracting ‘Tassar’
from silkworms. They were acquainted with the entire chain
of excretion, from laying eggs to the formation of cocoon,
from which Tassar threads are processed. This experience
also gleamed and enhanced their knowledge of manufacturing
and processing.

Foray into
Science Centre |
Bridgeford not
only imparts theoretical knowledge but practical as well.
Since the stream of knowledge is infinite hence, to probe
into, the students went to foray into Science Centre,
Ranchi on 22nd August, 2011. The students were enriched
with several information’s like mineral extraction in the
mines of Jharkhand, different mining projects, future
aspects of natural resources etc. The students were
ecstatic while observing an artificial forest with statues
of different animals, backed – up with sound effect.
The Students of Bridgeford School had an Interactive Session
on 1st of September 2011 with Dinesh Mishra, Chief
Editor, Hindustan, Ranchi, on the most genuine and burning
issue of the day - 'Corruption'. The session was
bestowed with lively speeches by our students both in Hindi as
well as in English highlighting the ballsy deeds of Anna
Hazare and his movements. The google-eyed power-point
presentations were also displayed centralizing the same theme.
Mr. Mishra applauded their effort and saluted the old social
activist for his strong determination. In addition, he that
eradication of corruption is the sole responsibility of every
citizen. Moreover, he suggested the students to fight against
this cursed disease but from within the school premises rather
joining any processions. We can definitely recapitulate
Renaissance-the dawn for a corruption free society. And
Bridgefordians too, are committed to that.

held where students asked questions from the chief guest
about corruption and the movement. The chief guest answered
all the queries.

program was managed by Mrs. Naina Gupta, Mrs, P Kumar and
Mrs. Deepa Verma.

in conducting the program in a smooth way.

Karate
Championship |
|
Two students of our
school Nilay Sinha of Class IX ‘A’
and Anant Amrit of III ‘A’ added a feather in the cap
of Bridgeford by grabbing 4 Gold Medals in the
events of District Karate Championship organized
by Union Club on 9th and 10th July 20ll.

(a) Visit to
State Museum |
|
The children of
Class V visited the state Museum situated at Khelgaon, Hotwar. It was as enlightening experience for them.
The children came to know about the glorious history of
Jharkhand. Various artifacts showcasing the art and culture of
our state were on display.
Stone tablets, coins, pottery and idols of 11th and 12th
century AD were the main attraction. The children were also
shown a documentary on Parasnath and the famous Jain Guru
Mahavir. Altogether it was an enriching outing for the
children. |

(b) Visit to Lac
Factory |
|
Students of Class IV visited Lac Factory at Khunti on
14th
July. The children enjoyed a lot and learnt about the
processes involved in the formation of shellac from the raw
material lac stick. They came to know about the uses of
shellac. Thus altogether children had fun with enhancement of
knowledge which will promote all round development of a child. |

banner of YMCA an Inter School Art Competition was held at
Town Hall on 7th May 2011.
Our School Achieved “Runners Trophy”
Nupur of class IX ‘D’ received the award for the best
painting.

Quiz Competition

Ingenious
Clique conducted a quiz at St. Xavier’s School, Doranda Ranchi
on 11th July 2011. It was organized by students pursuing B.
Com, CA students and MBA aspirants.
Mayank Jha of std. XI ‘B’ and Janmajay Sharma of std.
IX ‘D’
secured the third position in the quiz.
Selected students of class Xth, XIth and XIIth attended the
presentation given by the members on the topic “An insight
into the corporate.” & “Chartered Accountancy – A Vision.”

Inter School Quiz Competition |
|
“Logic Gate” is
a group of students from IIT and other reputed
engineering institutes, who conducted a quiz competition in
Bridgeford School on 15th July, 2011.
Our school got the third position by the appreciable efforts

International Mathematics Olympiad’ 2010 |
Its a proud moment
for our School. Two of our students awarded with educational
CDs worth Rs. 495.00 in 2nd level of International Mathematics
Olympiad’ 2010.
Niraj Kumar Mishra – Class VIII his International Rank was
257.
Kumar Shubham – Class X his International Rank was 450.

Interaction Session of CMD –
HEC |
|
INTRODUCTION OF CHIEF GUEST : Mr. G. K. Pillai, CMD –
HEC made a turnaround of ailing HEC under his dynamic
leadership. He is known for “Never say Die attitude and hunger
for impossible”.
FIRST MESSAGE : Dr. Pillai appreciated the serene
environment and discipline of Bridgeford School as extra –
ordinarily good.
MOTIVATIONAL ADDRESS : The inspirational speech on the
road - map of success, acquiring of excellence, application of
knowledge, hard work and positive attitude was enriching and
enjoyable. The old people, he said, are rooted strongly.
Hence, it is up to the youngsters to bring changes in the
policies. For this the filtration of knowledge should be
right. |

ENCHANTING MOMENTS : Mr. G. K. Pillai’s interactive
session with students covering turnaround of HEC, recipe of
success and replies to various queries was quite memorable and
mind blowing for the young minds. While answering to a query
he said, “Knowledge is very important but more important is
the application of knowledge.”
SUMMARY : The day began with a welcome song by floral
tributes. This was followed by Principal,
Mrs. Seema Chitlangia’s speech with her unbeating winning
spirit. This was followed by a speech by Dr. G.K. Pillai which
inspired and motivated the students. He taught a
Mathematics of success to the school children in which
hard work should be added to positive attitude to
get hundred percent return. To achieve a goal Excellence comes
first, success is a by – product.
There was a Prize Distribution Ceremony for the Meritorious
Awards of classes X and XII of the session 2010 – 11.
The anchoring of the captivating programme was done by the
school students.

Secondary Section : “VASUNDHARA” |
Bridgeford School celebrated its
10th Annual Concert on 24th December, 2010 with focal theme “Vasundhara”.
The glittering function started with lighting of lamp followed
by Shiv Stuti named “Manglacharan”. The parents of the school
children were treated to panorama of dance, drama and musical
heart-throbbing performances with a fusion of Eastern and
Western Cultures.
Sri Narayan Jalan, Chairman, welcomed the Chief Guest and
distinguished gathering. He laid emphasis on provision of
quality education and necessity of providing education to
under-privileged by giving shape to his Babuji’s message of
“Shiksha Amulya Ratna Hai”. This was followed by the
Principal, Mrs. Seema Chitlangia’s, warm and heartfelt welcome
speech covering the annual report. She also indicated that the
school has taken long strides and has made commendable
progress due to untiring efforts and co-operation of teachers
and staff.
The Prize Distribution was performed by Chief Guest, Justice
R. K. Merithia to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of
students in various fields through the academic session
2009-10. The anchoring of the captivating programme was done
by the school children.

Primary Section:
“MUSICAL MELODY” |
Bridgeford School Tupudana,
organized its 10th Annual Day Function on 19th December 2010.
The function was a harmonious blend of songs, dances and
drama. The audience was Captivated with the scintillating
performances depicting India’s rich cultural traditions as
well as contemporary western dances.
The Chief Guest of this occasion was Mr. A. S. Mathur,
Executive Director, In-charge, RDCIS – SAIL Mr. Narayan Jalan,
Chairman, welcomed the Chief Guest and other distinguished
guest. The principal, Mrs. Seema Chitlangia, presented
School’s past achievements in her Annual Report.
There was also a Prize Distribution Ceremony to acknowledge
the efforts made by the students in various activities. The
vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Paromita Banerjee.
The anchoring of the colourful programme was done by the
budding talents.
